We're looking forward to February's Meet-Up.
Corless Smith will show the appliquéd and embroidered illustrations she created for her book Roberta Crousseau, Her Shipwreck and Return, a story of a woman shipwrecked on a tropical island. Corless notes, “Robinson Crusoe always bothered me because he was on a beautiful island and never noticed anything. He was terribly lonely, but when another human came, Robinson turned him into a servant. I had a different vision.”
She will also show recent pieced, appliquéd and embroidered work, including a series of pieced pillow tops that were auctioned off to raise funds for homeless people.
Following Corless's presentation, we will have Show and Tell. To have a photo of your item(s) shown during the Meet-up, see instructions here by February 9th at 7 pm.
The postcard exchange is continuing, to take part, register by February 11th and mark "Yes" to the exchange question when you register. More information here...
