Open Quilting Details
EBHQ launched a new activity called Open Quilting in June 2022. We are getting together in person again!
Each attendee must register for this activity and be willing to adhere to the rules outlined below.
You will be able to come to the Albany United Methodist Church as we did pre-Covid on the second Tuesdays and the third Saturdays of each month.
Oh, yes, we realize that it's going to feel quite different from the busy, buzzing church get togethers we enjoyed pre-Covid, that's why we gave it a new name. As of now, eating and drinking are not allowed by the church, so there will be no potluck lunches or free communal coffee. However, friendly conversation and communal sewing is definitely allowed and anticipated.
Available for your use during each session: irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, extension cords for your sewing machine, large tables with risers for pinning quilts (if space allows), and design boards.
Scrap Swap: you may bring fabric of any size to give away. However, if it's not scooped up by someone else, you must take your leftovers home again. There is no space to store any extra fabric in the closets. They are quite full--crammed actually.
