This is a one day workshop, Saturday 9-2
Improv quilting is a dynamic approach to making quilts. It allows the maker to explore their ideas on a deeper level, expanding the imagination. Often, improv quilting is seen as a spontaneous process without prior planning. In this hands on course we will explore a “ design planned approach” to improv quiltmaking. Not all improv quilts are created without a foundation. We will use the drunkard’s path block as a blueprint to draw out a quilt top design. We will learn quilting as an active process, making decisions about design and color in the moment. This course is perfect for quilters of all levels who want to further explore the magic of adding their voice into the quilt making process.
